Collection and disclosure of information: Using the Google +1 button allows you to share information worldwide. Google collects information about your +1 activities to improve Google services for you and others. To use the Google + button, you need a public Google profile that is visible worldwide and must include at least the name you chose for the profile. This name is used by all Google services. The identity of your Google profile can be shown to users who know your email address or other information that can identify you.

Matomo (formerly Piwik)

This website uses the open-source web analytics service Matomo. Matomo uses so-called "cookies." These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. For this purpose, the information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is stored on our server. The IP address is anonymized before it is stored.

Matomo cookies remain on your device until you delete them.

The use of Matomo cookies is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

The information collected by cookies regarding your use of this website will not be disclosed to third parties. Scalable and centralized measurement system from INFOnline GmbH

On this website, the data controller has integrated a tracking pixel for real-time measurement. A tracking pixel is a tiny graphic embedded in web pages to enable the collection and analysis of log files for the purpose of conducting statistical analysis. The integrated tracking pixels are used for the Scalable Central Measurement System (SZMS) of INFOnline GmbH.

The Scalable Central Measurement System is operated by INFOnline GmbH, Forum Bonn Nord, Brühler Str. 9, 53119 Bonn, Germany.

The Scalable Central Measurement System is used to calculate statistical metrics, specifically page views. The embedded tracking pixel is used to determine whether, when, and by how many users (including the data subject) our website was visited, as well as what content was accessed.

The data obtained through the Scalable Central Measurement System is collected anonymously. In order to track the number of visits, a so-called session cookie is set to identify website users; for example, a signature is created that consists of various automatically transmitted pieces of information, or alternative methods are used. The IP address of the Internet connection used by the data subject is collected and processed in an anonymous form only. The data subject is not identified at any time.

As stated above, the data subject may prevent cookies from being set through our website at any time by adjusting the settings of the web browser being used, thereby permanently blocking the setting of cookies. Such an adjustment to the web browser would also prevent INFOnline from setting a cookie on the data subject’s computer system. In addition, cookies already in use by INFOnline may be deleted at any time via a web browser or other software programs.

In addition, the data subject has the option to object to the collection of data generated by INFOnline in connection with the use of this site and to prevent such collection. To do so, the data subject must click the “opt-out” button at the link http://optout.ioam.de, which sets an opt-out cookie. If the cookies are deleted from the data subject’s system, the data subject must visit the link again and set a new opt-out cookie.

However, if the opt-out cookie is set, there is a possibility that the data subject will no longer be able to fully use the controller’s websites. The applicable data protection provisions of INFOnline can be accessed at https://www.infonline.de/datenschutz/.

Our contractual partner, MADSACK Medien Hannover GmbH & Co. KG, uses the following tools to place advertisements on our website. This practice is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the anonymized analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service provided by Google Inc. ("Google") for displaying advertisements. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google AdSense uses so-called "cookies," which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of how you use the website. Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons allow information such as visitor traffic on these pages to be analyzed.

The information generated by cookies and web beacons regarding your use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. This information may be shared by Google with its contractors. However, Google will not combine your IP address with other data it has stored.

AdSense cookies are stored in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.

You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting your browser settings. Please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all the features of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of your data collected by Google as described and for the purposes set out above.

Google Analytics Remarketing

Our websites use the features of Google Analytics Remarketing in combination with the cross-device capabilities of Google AdWords and DoubleClick. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

This feature allows you to link target audiences created for promotional marketing using Google Analytics Remarketing to the cross-device capabilities of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. This enables ads to be displayed based on your personal interests—as determined by your previous usage and browsing behavior on one device (such as your mobile phone)—on other devices (such as a tablet or computer).

Once you have given your consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history to your Google Account for this purpose. That way, any device that signs in to your Google Account can use the same personalized promotional content.

To support this feature, Google Analytics collects Google-authenticated user IDs that are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data in order to define and create audiences for cross-device advertising.

You can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by turning off personalized advertising in your Google Account; follow this link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The aggregation of the data collected in your Google Account is based solely on your consent, which you may give or withdraw from Google pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. For data collection operations not merged into your Google Account (for example, because you do not have a Google Account or have objected to the merge), the collection of data is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing anonymous user behavior for promotional purposes.

For more information and to view the Google Privacy Policy, visit: https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google").

As part of Google AdWords, we use what is known as conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that your web browser stores on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify the user. If the user visits certain pages on the website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the website can determine that the user clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page.

Each Google AdWords advertiser has a unique cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked using an AdWords advertiser’s website. The information collected via the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords advertisers who have enabled conversion tracking. Advertisers are informed of the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page containing a conversion tracking tag. However, advertisers do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can easily opt out by disabling the Google Conversion Tracking cookie in your browser settings. By doing so, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

Conversion cookies are stored in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.

For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, see the Google Privacy Policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

You can configure your browser to notify you when cookies are used, allowing you to decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, you can set your browser to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions, to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when you close your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use "Google reCAPTCHA" (hereinafter "reCAPTCHA") on our websites. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google").

reCAPTCHA is used to verify whether the data entered on our website (such as on a contact form) was entered by a human or by an automated program. To do this, reCAPTCHA analyzes the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as the website visitor accesses the website. For the analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g., IP address, how long the visitor has been on the website, or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis will be forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses take place entirely in the background. Website visitors are not notified that such an analysis is taking place.

Data processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its site from abusive automated crawling and spam.

Nugg.ad

nugg.ad is fully committed to complying with privacy and data protection laws in Germany and Europe, as well as with perceived privacy requirements. Company information: nugg.ad GmbH, Tamara-Danz-Str. 1, 10243 Berlin. Office: Stralauer Allee 2B, 10245 Berlin. Managing Directors: Jérôme Cochet, Andreas Antrup. Commercial Register of the Charlottenburg District Court HRB 172673. VAT ID pursuant to Section 27 of the VAT Act: DE814692054. Phone: +49 (0) 30 29 38 19 99 -0. Email: welcome@nugg.ad. Website: http://www.nugg.ad

What data does nugg.ad collect and process?

nugg.ad offers website providers a technology that enables them to deliver interest-based advertising. nugg.ad’s interest-based advertising is valuable to advertisers because it increases the effectiveness of their campaigns. It reduces the number of ads displayed, so that you, as a user, benefit from seeing fewer ads, and the ones you do see are more likely to be relevant to your interests rather than being randomly inserted.

nugg.ad achieves this by using general information based on your internet usage. To do this, nugg.ad’s technology monitors the usage patterns of internet users by storing a cookie in the browser of your device with a lifespan of 26 weeks: this means that the number of website visits in various subject areas is counted. nugg.ad stores aggregated information about usage patterns with a hashed ID in the nugg.ad system. In other words, the specific web addresses you have visited are not recorded, but nugg.ad stores the frequency of use for various subject areas based on the web pages accessed in a cookie. This general information about your internet usage can be used by nugg.ad’s technology across websites.

Sensitive topics such as religion, health, or sexuality are not tracked. Furthermore, no other data is collected. In particular, nugg.ad never stores information regarding your name, mailing address, email address, or IP address. Nugg.ad uses data protection-friendly technology and a sophisticated anonymization system, which means it has no way of identifying the user viewing a particular page. Data is never shared with third parties, such as local authorities or other companies.

Special precautions are taken in the nugg.ad system to ensure compliance with the principle of data minimization. In particular, an anonymization service operated by an independent third party ensures that no user IP addresses are transmitted to the nugg.ad system. Specific technical and contractual arrangements also ensure that this anonymization service cannot be circumvented by nugg.ad staff.

nugg.ad identifies relevant target audiences for advertising based on sociodemographic criteria and product interests. Nugg.ad relies solely on statistical patterns derived from users’ behavior toward online advertising and editorial content published on websites. To ensure that you are not constantly bombarded with the same advertisements or feel that they are too intrusive, nugg.ad tracks how often you are shown an ad across various campaigns. Once you reach a certain exposure threshold, you will no longer be shown any more ads from that campaign.

The use of “cookies”

nugg.ad uses cookies. Of course, these cookies do not contain spyware, adware, spam, or viruses. They are stored in the browser of your device (e.g., PC, laptop, smartphone, etc.) and have a lifespan of 26 weeks. Both the d-cookie and the dp-cookie are used to analyze target groups and track the number of page views in specific subject areas. The ci-cookie is used to store information indicating how often you have been shown a particular advertisement. The cookies contain only general information about your internet usage.

nugg.ad cannot trace any information in the cookies back to individual users. In particular, nugg.ad cannot identify a person by name, address, or any other directly identifying data.

However, you can, of course, choose to refuse cookies by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser, or simply delete them.

Opt-in/opt-out function and Topic Monitor

If you are interested in seeing ads that are even more relevant to your interests on web pages, you can select the "Opt-In" option here to allow for continued analysis of your usage habits based on your interests. If you opt in, the cookie will also be stored in your device’s browser. It will be stored for 1 year. If previously collected nugg.ad cookies are present in your device’s browser, setting the Opt-In cookie will result in the following: With your permission, the nugg.ad cookie’s lifespan is extended to 1 year (calculated from the moment the cookie is set). Information stored on nugg.ad cookies prior to opting in is retained and will be deleted upon the cookie’s expiration (maximum 1 year).

You have the right to prevent the nugg.ad system from collecting information at any time by exercising your right to opt out. If you have already given your consent, you can also revoke it at any time, effective immediately. An opt-out will also be stored in a cookie on your browser’s device with a lifespan of 10 years; it will be named “nuggstopp” and will be set by “nuggad.net”.

Please note that it is not technically possible to detect the opt-out if you delete the cookies from your browser.

You can accept or decline online on the nugg.ad homepage or the “My Topic Monitor” page. Click the corresponding button.

The “My Topic Monitor” shows you how nugg.ad has categorized your browsing habits. To do this, the aggregated data on your usage behavior is retrieved from the cookie, where it is stored, and displayed in general categories. You can find more information on the “My Topic Monitor” page.
