42nd Maikäfer Meetup in Hannover – a celebration of passion for classic VWs

On May 1, the Messeparkplatz West in Hannover will once again transform into a paradise for all fans of air-cooled Volkswagens. From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., it’s time to polish engines to a high shine, share memories, and celebrate together.
Since 1983, the MaikäferTreffen in Hannover has been a must-attend event on the calendar of VW enthusiasts from all over the world—and this year, the iconic event will once again live up to its legendary reputation. Thousands of Beetles, Buses, Type 3s, Type 4s, Type 181s, Karmann Ghias, and many other air-cooled classics will roll onto the grounds—each one unique with its own story.
The diversity of these classic cars creates a colorful, impressive scene at the Fairground. Around 2,500 gems will be on display for the approximately 12,000 visitors expected from Germany and abroad.

Show contest and supporting program
The Show & Shine stage puts these gleaming jewels in the spotlight: the most spectacular examples are awarded prizes in the competition. A large parts market invites visitors to browse—from rare original parts to lovingly collected items. Bouncy castles and other attractions are available for kids.

: Due to the concurrent Evangelical Church Congress, there may be traffic restrictions in the area surrounding the Fairground.
Important: This year, access is exclusively via Ulmer Straße. Europaallee must remain clear.
