The match between Portugal and Georgia will be shown at Raschplatz

Press Release Regarding the Public Viewing on June 26

The match between Portugal and Georgia will be shown at Raschplatz

Tomorrow's European Championship match between Turkey and the Czech Republic will be shown at the public viewing event on Waterlooplatz due to capacity constraints.

Soccer fans can look forward to two exciting matches tomorrow, Wednesday, both starting at 9 p.m.: Portugal vs. Georgia and Turkey vs. the Czech Republic.

The match between Turkey and the Czech Republic is expected to be watched with great enthusiasm by many Turkish fans. This assessment is based on the anticipation of a true "final" within the group, as well as the high level of interest in the Turkish team's matches already evident during the opening games.

Therefore, Hannover Veranstaltungs GmbH (HVG), as the organizer of the public viewing event at Raschplatz, together with the City of Hannover (Department of Sports, Swimming Pools, and Event Management and the Fire Department) as well as the Hannover Police Department, have agreed not to show the upcoming match between the Czech and Turkish national teams tomorrow, Wednesday (June 26), at Raschplatz. Due to capacity constraints, the facilities available there cannot accommodate the high demand from Turkish fans.
Instead, this match will be shown at the public viewing event on Waterlooplatz. With a capacity of up to 7,500 people, Waterlooplatz offers the necessary space for broadcasting the Turkish national team’s match.

Soccer fans can watch the Georgia vs. Portugal game at Raschplatz.
