The 2026 finals

From July 23 to 26, 2026, Lake Steinhuder Meer will serve as the venue for Germany’s largest multisport event: The Finals 2026. In the disciplines of triathlon, surfing, sailing, and coastal rowing, Germany’s top athletes will compete for national championship titles—against the unique backdrop of the largest lake in northwestern Germany.
Visitors can look forward to world-class elite sports, exciting competitions, and a special event experience right on the water.

Triathlon at the Steinhude
Beach Terraces The Steinhude Beach Terraces will be the main venue for the triathlon competitions at the 2026 Finals. There, spectators will experience the full excitement of the competition up close—from the starting gun and the swim course, through the transition to the bike leg, all the way to the final run and the finish line.
A large LED screen on the Steinhude Beach Terraces plaza will also provide the best view of the race action, broadcasting all competitions live.

Coastal Rowing on Steinhude
Beach Island Steinhude Beach Island will host the coastal rowing competitions at the 2026 Finals. This dynamic rowing discipline will make its Olympic debut in Los Angeles in 2028 and combines athleticism, tactics, and spectacular races.
The short, action-packed races start and finish right on the beach. The course, which runs close to the shore, offers an excellent view of the competition. In an easy-to-follow head-to-head format, the races deliver thrilling duels.

Sailing and Surfing on Lake Steinhuder Meer
The Flying Dutchman (sailing) and Raceboard (surfing) championships will be held on Lake Steinhuder Meer. If you’d like to watch the competitions in a special atmosphere, the Yacht-Club Niedersachsen (Weidenbruchsweg/Uferweg 1) is the place to be: At the club’s grounds in Mardorf on the north shore, all races and other final competitions will be shown on a large LED screen from July 23 through July 26, daily from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For a special viewing experience, a limited number of free tickets for a seat on the passenger boat “Steinhude” are available for booking. This allows guests to get up close to the regatta course and experience the sailing and surfing races right on the water.

Lake Steinhuder Meer remains open to watercraft on a limited basis even during competitions.

Supporting program on the floating Meer Radio Seebühne stage in Steinhude
The Meer Radio Seebühne invites you to two special evenings in front of the Strandterrassen during the 2026 Finals: On July 24, the band Chicago Lane will create a groovy atmosphere, and on July 25, JunX will bring fresh energy to the stage. Both events start at 6:00 p.m.
