Estonia at the International Fireworks Competition

New Nations – New Spirits: Estonia Takes You on an Emotional Fantasy Adventure

On May 25, Malaysia kicked off this year's International Fireworks Competition in Hanover. This coming Saturday, the Pyrocom team from Estonia will present its spectacular fireworks show in Herrenhausen.

The Balts draw on the fairy-tale-like, mystical aura of Hanover’s Royal Garden for their “Adventure of the Senses”—the motto of their show. They build upon the required musical piece from “Game of Thrones,” performed by the NDR Radio Philharmonic. At the same time, their free musical selection incorporates sounds from the fantasy genre. The dark soundtrack and the fiery spectacle of dragons, trolls, and giants in the sky transport the audience directly into the epic film scenes from “The Lord of the Rings” and similar works—and thus into an adventurous battle between good and evil that stirs every emotion. For in this celestial spectacle, happiness and joy, sorrow and anger lie very close together.

The Pyrocom fireworks team from Estonia was founded in 2018. While it is relatively new to the business, the group of passionate pyrotechnicians collectively brings more than 50 years of experience to the table. They present their technically and artistically sophisticated shows all over the world, and for the first time, Hanover is also among the host cities, in keeping with this year’s overarching competition theme, “New Nations – New Spirits.”.

Supporting program featuring Baroque equestrian art
A unique highlight of the supporting program awaits visitors on this date: The Institute for Classical Equestrian Art in Hanover (Institut für klassische Reiterei Hannover e.V.) will present an impressive demonstration of historical Baroque equestrian art in the Royal Gardens. This exquisite display of 17th- and 18th-century dressage, featuring challenging maneuvers, elegant pirouettes, and artful lateral movements, will be performed by highly skilled riders on approximately 25 magnificent horses.

Tickets are available at the Hannover Tourist Information Office at Ernst-August-Platz 8 or through the online store at https://visit.ticket2go.de/#!/.
