Glitterbox & Electric Sunday

Dance floor moves to the glass hall, summer lounge in the city park remains!

Glitterbox OpenAir

The internationally acclaimed party series Glitterbox will celebrate its seventh edition on Saturday, August 30, starting at 3 p.m. The following day, Sunday, August 31 (also starting at 3 p.m.), Electric Sunday will take the stage as a laid-back electronic music event.

It was supposed to be the first Glitterbox Open Air premiere in Germany—but Hannover isn’t Ibiza. After careful consideration, weather checks, and given Hannover’s unpredictable summer, Hannover Veranstaltungs GmbH (HVG) has decided: The dance floor for this festival will move to the light-filled glass hall at the Congress Centrum. This means all guests can look forward to a thoroughly enjoyable experience—and plan their weekend regardless of the weather. Another plus: Instead of ending at 10 p.m., the party won’t wrap up until 12:30 a.m.—giving you more time to dance and have fun.

At the same time, the unique atmosphere of the Stadtpark remains intact: nestled among trees and flowers, food trucks, chill-out areas, and music await—a green summer lounge right in the heart of the city. In this way, the festival combines the best of both worlds: an Ibiza vibe in the elegant, glass-enclosed Niedersachsenhalle and a laid-back atmosphere in the adjacent green oasis of the Stadtpark. “We want everyone to be able to plan with peace of mind and keep the anticipation intact,” says HVG Managing Director André Lawiszus.

The DJs will also be projected live onto an LED screen in the outdoor area, so no one outside will miss a thing.

International flair with a local touch

Saturday’s Glitterbox lineup is headlined by David Morales and Louie Vega—two icons of the international club scene who are right at home on the world’s biggest stages.  Together with Hanover’s poster child, Grammy-nominated house DJ and hit producer Mousse T., they form the heart of this year’s Glitterbox. When they take over the turntables, New York house history meets Latin American soul and disco vibes.
Online tickets for Glitterbox are sold out; tickets are available at the box office subject to availability.

The Electric Sunday lineup features Âme (live) and Reznik—two of the most exciting artists on the international electronic music scene for years. They blend driving beats with melodic elements and deliver an intense live experience worldwide—from Berlin to Burning Man. Just last Saturday, Reznik celebrated the birthday of the cult label “Keinemusik” in front of more than 60,000 visitors at Tempelhofer Feld in Berlin. Nowhere else in the capital can you find such a concentrated dose of DJ flair from around the world. Only a few tickets are still available for Electric Sunday.
