“Starting January 1, 2024, we will be realigning our strategy by digitizing private room rentals through our partnership with HOLIDU. This partnership is a necessary addition to our lodging offerings, particularly during trade fair seasons, to maintain the economic value of the Hannover region,” says Hans Nolte, Managing Director of HMTG.
In Hannover, especially during trade shows and conferences, staying in private accommodations with so-called “trade show moms” has a long and positive tradition. For Hans Nolte, the digital version of the “trade fair moms” is therefore a welcome addition to the Accommodation Service’s product portfolio: “Greater reach, better occupancy rates, and affordable accommodations during peak times—the expansion through HOLIDU now prepares private hosts for the future while simultaneously elevating rentals to an international standard.”
The partnership between Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH and HOLIDU will take effect at the end of the 2023 fiscal year. As in the past, the brokerage agreements stipulate that socially subsidized housing is excluded from temporary rentals. This provision is intended, among other things, to ensure that sufficient socially subsidized housing remains available in the state capital during trade fairs and major events.
