Hanover is hosting Germany's only Glitterbox party!

For the fifth time, Glitterbox is drawing partygoers of all stripes from across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands to Hanover with its contemporary soul and dancefloor anthems. With this famous Ibiza-style party format, Lower Saxony’s capital is establishing itself as an exclusive party destination alongside London, New York, Dubai, and Amsterdam. 

The line-up: the crème de la crème of the DJ scene 

Hanover-based producer and resident DJ Mousse T. has been providing the Glitterbox family with thumping beats since the first event in 2019. Alongside the local hero, international DJs such as New York-based producer Harry Romeo, London house music legend Dave Lee (JN), and Sophie Lloyd from London will be spinning records. Flying in from Chicago, DJ Jamie 3:26 will ensure the best vibes. With a soundtrack of nu-disco and classic house, these star DJs will get the party-hungry crowd fired up. Plus, sizzling performances by international drag queens and a lineup of dancers will create a wild beach vibe right in the middle of November. 

The venue: a hedonistic celebration in the historic setting of the Kuppelsaal

An outstanding setting for an outstanding party: In Hanover, the Glitterbox meets the striking building dating from 1914—the HCC. With seating for up to 3,600, the Kuppelsaal is Lower Saxony’s largest concert hall and one of Europe’s most beautiful ballrooms. Guests dance beneath dozens of disco balls amid a shower of confetti and artificial fog. The contrast could hardly be more spectacular.

Following the sold-out parties in 2019, 2021, and 2022, 3,000 partygoers of all stripes are expected again this year. This high-profile party from Ibiza attracts celebrities to its sophisticated setting just as much as it does the art and culture scene. The galaxy of sequins, glamour, glitter, and thumping bass also commands the utmost attention in the disco diva and LGBTQ scenes.

Glitterbox sets the standard in the club scene

For years, the Glitterbox has been one of the most successful parties on the hotspot island of Ibiza. Germany’s only Glitterbox party, held in Hanover, has become a staple of the house and disco scene since 2019. Since then, the event has consistently drawn sold-out crowds.

The Glitterbox is organized by Hannover Veranstaltungs GmbH (HVG), which also hosts the Maschseefest and the international fireworks competition in Hannover Herrenhausen. Hannover-based hit producer Mousse T. used his connections at the time to work with HVG event organizer André Lawiszus to bring this prestigious event to Hannover. 

“With the ‘Hannover Nightlife’ format, we want to keep the city attractive not only to the young crowd. People of all ages, nationalities, and genders are welcome. The Glitterbox embraces and celebrates diversity,” emphasizes HVG Managing Director Hans Nolte. 

Extravagant decorations and a new DJ setup

The Glitterbox captivates with its extravagant decorations, confetti cannons, LED light shows, and long bars. The layout will be slightly modified this year, with the top stars behind the turntables getting an even bigger stage. It’s something to look forward to.
