Hanover's New Year's Eve Party at the HCC

Next year, Hanover will celebrate its 10th anniversary as a UNESCO City of Music. Not only were the vinyl record invented and the first CD pressed along the Leine River, but the city’s nightlife is also creative and diverse.

Turning night into day isn’t just for New Year’s Eve. There’s plenty going on for night owls during the days between Christmas and New Year’s and well into the new year.
No matter what kind of music you’re into, you’ll find the perfect club, disco, or bar in Hanover and the surrounding region—from electronic to Schlager, there’s something for everyone. And when it comes to unique nightlife spots, there are plenty of highlights to choose from. From a groovy jazz club in an old coal cellar to the former Capitol movie theater, where you can dance the night away. In the historic stairwell of the Cumberland Bar, you can party until dawn, and if you enjoy live music in a cozy, living-room atmosphere, the Kulturpalast Linden is the perfect spot for you. The “Schwule Sau” is located on the former site of an old chocolate factory; at the “Faust,” you can party against the backdrop of a mattress spring factory; and at the “Blues Garage” in Isernhagen, you can actually enjoy rock ’n’ roll right in a garage.
