From June 8 to 16, more than 800 exhibits will be on display at the IdeenExpo in Hanover. Europe’s largest youth event for technology and the natural sciences is taking place at the Hanover Exhibition Center for the ninth time. The organizers provided a first glimpse of the projects earlier this week at a press conference.
Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) is continuing its long-standing partnership with IdeenExpo this year as well, supporting Europe’s premier event for young people passionate about technology and the next generation of scientists with a large-scale campaign across four federal states.
Hanover Turns Orange
: The orange campaign design for the IdeenExpo is already visible on 23 poles throughout the city. In early June, approximately 250 large-format posters and 230 City-Light posters will be installed in Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia, and Saxony-Anhalt, along with nationwide online and social media advertising.
As the marketing agency for the Hannover region and its 21 municipalities, HMTG strives to present the region as a forward-looking, sustainable, and dynamic place to live and do business. The accompanying campaign for the IdeenExpo is an important part of this effort.
As a trade show designed to motivate young people and help them explore career options, it offers valuable insights into STEM careers, thereby supporting career guidance and future planning. The Hannover region also presents itself as a forward-looking location for ambitious individuals.
“The Hannover region’s economic area has a lot to offer: The higher education landscape features a wide range of innovative and sustainable degree programs. Startups benefit from comprehensive economic support and numerous office-sharing options. Furthermore, as a dynamic metropolis, Hannover proves that it is an attractive location for young talent. The IdeenExpo provides important impetus for this forward-looking region,” says Hans Nolte, Managing Director of HMTG.
Dr. Volker Schmidt, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IdeenExpo GmbH, adds:
“Optimism about the future is right at home here. At the IdeenExpo, students have nine days to try things out, get a taste of different careers, and set the course for their future. The event is a beacon for the entire Hanover region and for our state, because the IdeenExpo is unique not only in Germany but throughout Europe, and this year it will once again bring a sparkle to visitors’ eyes.”
Practical and Hands-On
Career Guidance The IdeenExpo takes place every two years. This year, with 310 exhibitors, there are more than ever before. The number of exhibits is also breaking all records. The IdeenExpo’s motto—“Just give it a try!”—has proven its worth; the hands-on exhibits are the centerpiece and offer exciting insights into the world of technology and the natural sciences.
