International fireworks competition

Lithuania and Slovakia put on a spectacular show at the 32nd International Fireworks Competition

Team Lithuania

At the end of May, Malaysia kicked off the 32nd International Fireworks Competition in the Herrenhausen Gardens, followed by an evocative pyrotechnic show from Estonia and colorful, high-energy pyrotechnic designs set to groovy beats from India. In September, Lithuania and Slovakia will bring the event to a sparkling close in the Herrenhausen Gardens.

On September 7, the Vilniaus Saliutas team from Lithuania invites you to an unforgettable September evening under the title “The Future Lies in the Past.” Spectators can look forward to a magical journey into the past, staged with state-of-the-art fireworks technology. Against the backdrop of historic gardens, the Baltic team will transport you to a lavish ball in the 18th century. Accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of British bands such as Queen and the Beatles, Elector George I of Hanover invites guests to this special celebration on the occasion of his coronation as King of Great Britain in 1714.
On September 14, the Privatex-Pyro team from Slovakia will showcase their skills. Under the theme “Enchanted Land,” the Slovaks tell the story of a king searching for a peaceful homeland for his people. The pyrotechnic effects unfold into spectacular fountains, flames, chrysanthemums, and comets, accompanied by trilingual chants in English, Latin, and Slovak.
