On May 4, 2025, the Deister Working Group invites you to the 16th annual Deistertag—a day filled with nature experiences for explorers of all ages. Once again this year, visitors can look forward to a wonderful blend of adventure, information, and excitement—all set amidst lush greenery. The six Deister municipalities—Bad Münder, Bad Nenndorf, Barsinghausen, Rodenberg, Springe, and Wennigsen—have once again put together a varied program that reflects the region’s diversity and appeals to the whole family. Whether guided hikes and bike tours, herb walks, sightseeing tours, or live music—Deistertag offers nature experiences and discoveries for every taste. “Deistertag is a fantastic collaborative project that unites the six municipalities and impressively showcases our region’s tourism potential. We are delighted to once again be able to present visitors with a diverse program set against a unique natural backdrop,” emphasizes Timo Muchow, spokesperson for the Deister Working Group and economic development officer for the city of Barsinghausen. At the same time, the event day puts the spotlight on sustainability: through eco-friendly travel options, regional products, and nature-friendly activities, it demonstrates how nature-based tourism can be organized responsibly. Those who wish to experience the Deister can consciously choose to leave their cars at home—numerous hiking trails and event venues are easily accessible by public transportation. The excellent bus and train connections not only ensure a relaxed journey but also make an important contribution to sustainable tourism in the region. Thus, the day in the countryside becomes a climate-friendly discovery tour—without the hassle of finding a parking spot. As in previous years, Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) will once again play a leading role in promoting Deister Day in 2025. In addition to the program flyer, this includes a large-scale poster campaign within a 60-kilometer radius of Hannover.
In addition, the event is being promoted on advertising columns and triangular stands in downtown Hannover. TV spots shown to passengers on Üstra trams and at stations also draw attention to the event. Advertisements and advertorials in newspapers and city magazines further contribute to the comprehensive media campaign. The program flyer is available at the tourist information offices of the Deister municipalities as well as at the Hannover Tourist Information office at Ernst-August-Platz 8. It is also available at cultural institutions and restaurants. The flyer is available online at www.visit-hannover.com/deister and www.deister.de.
