NIKI. KUSAMA. MURAKAMI

Through February 14, 2026, the Sprengel Museum is presenting the exhibition “Love You for Infinity,” in which Hannover’s honorary citizen Niki de Saint Phalle is being shown for the first time alongside two other giants of modern art: Yayoi Kusama and Takashi Murakami.

Even before the halfway point on November 25, the museum had already welcomed more than 80,000 visitors. The busiest day so far was October 3, with 3,344 visitors.

As winter approaches, the museum expects visitor numbers to rise further. When the weather turns inclement, many art lovers from Germany and abroad, as well as from the region Hannover, are increasingly drawn to the Sprengel Museum. The special exhibition is generating enthusiasm far beyond the city limits. To meet the high demand, the museum is open until 8 p.m. four days a week—an option that is particularly popular for the much-loved evening tours.

The basis for this extraordinary exhibition is the donation of more than 400 works that Niki de Saint Phalle bequeathed to the Sprengel Museum in 2000. “Love You for Infinity” presents a colorful and multifaceted selection: from Saint Phalle’s iconic “Shooting Pictures” and her voluptuous “Nana” sculptures, to Kusama’s walk-in “Infinity Room,” and Murakami’s playful pop art style.

The exhibition features around 120 works—including numerous large-scale pieces—spanning painting, sculpture, installation, graphic art, and film. Spread over an area of approximately 2,000 square meters, it guides visitors through thematically organized rooms such as “Love,” “Sexuality,” “Utopia,” and “Consumption.”

Niki, Kusama, Murakami on the Go

The museum shop has expanded its selection and offers plenty of ideas for gifts or for keeping to yourself: from brightly colored inflatable Nanas, T-shirts, and scarves featuring Niki motifs to Kusama coffee-table books and champagne designed by the artist Murakami for a well-known brand.
