Fantastic trail riding routes, charming half-timbered farms, a wide variety of riding clubs and stables, plus sightseeing opportunities and a diverse range of recreational activities—that’s the Hanover Horse Region!
To coincide with the start of “Pferd und Jagd”—Europe’s largest trade show for riders and nature lovers—Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) has launched its marketing campaign centered on the “Hannover Horse Region.”.
Horse lovers who want to pursue their passion even while on vacation are warmly welcomed in the horse-friendly towns of Burgdorf, Burgwedel, Isernhagen, Langenhagen, Uetze, and Wedemark. In the northern part of the Hanover vacation region, equestrian tourism is given special attention with a variety of personalized offerings.
A compact brochure on the Hannover Horse Region provides an overview of the diverse offerings—from adventure riding and carriage rides to pony riding schools, therapeutic riding, and wellness programs for horses and riders. Riding tours for exploration, country estates, riding clubs, and plenty of interesting facts about horses are presented in this handy 32-page magazine format. The first copies will be distributed from December 8 through 11, 2022, at the Pferd & Jagd trade fair and will be included with the latest issue of Reitsportmagazin. Starting in early December, approximately 200 large-format posters in Hesse, Lower Saxony, Brandenburg, and North Rhine-Westphalia will promote the Hannover Horse Region.
Hans Nolte, Managing Director of HMTG, on the marketing activities: “Horse lovers will find attractive opportunities in the Hannover vacation region: Thanks to the short distances and excellent transportation links, our guests can enjoy nature on a horseback ride during the day and experience top-notch culture at the State Theater or a variety theater in the evening. Situated between city and countryside, culture and nature, the region offers excellent conditions for riders and horses.”
Amid meadows, pastures, and fields, there are many sights and recreational activities—including the Wöhler-Dusche Farm in Isernhagen, Wietzepark, numerous farm stands, the windmill in Uetze, and the Geo-Adventure Trail on Brelinger Berg—that can be explored (almost) from horseback.
The new brochure and the current advertising campaign for the Hannover Horse Region were developed in cooperation with Pferdeland Niedersachsen GmbH (PLN). The company supports and advises its approximately 150,000 members on topics such as animal welfare, the horse industry, and equestrian tourism, as well as on how to position these issues in the public eye.
“Equestrian tourism plays a significant role in Lower Saxony’s overall tourism offerings. Pferdeland Niedersachsen GmbH serves as a consultant in the field of equestrian tourism in Lower Saxony. We want to see equestrian tourism continue to grow so that many visitors can experience our wonderful destination,” says Alexandra Duesmann, Managing Director of PLN.
It’s not just horse lovers who are thrilled by first-class events such as the traditional horse and hobby animal market in Burgdorf, the drag hunt with the Lower Saxony pack, or the race days at the Neue Bult horse racing track. The calendar of events for the Hanover vacation region is always full of variety and can be found online:
