In line with the current flagship campaign “Unboxing Hannover” by Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG), the slogan “Unbox Hannover” is being put into practice at the Tourist Information office at Ernst-August-Platz 8: The regional winter market opens on November 4. Through the end of the year, visitors can find specialties and gift ideas from businesses in Hannover and the surrounding region.
The selection ranges from coffee from Hannoversche Kaffeemanufaktur and winter teas from Tee Seeger to Hannover Gin and sparkling wine from Duprès, as well as regional honey from the Jürgen Tospann apiary. ELEA’s Maschseewasser and Maschseeräuber brands are also represented with liqueurs, chocolate, spices, dips, and other specialties. Handmade truffles from Trüffel-Güse round out the selection. Making their debut are freshly roasted almonds from Kräuter-Basar, which also offers winter teas and herbal candies.
Whether for family and friends, as a small gift for guests, or to treat yourself: The Winter Market offers products with local character, personality, and plenty of that Hannover vibe.
New Christmas Market Guide
Starting November 9, a new, 12-page brochure from the HMTG will be available at the Tourist Information office. It provides information about Hannover’s three Christmas markets in the Old Town, along the Lister Meile, and the Roncalli Christmas Market. The overview is supplemented by additional event recommendations for the winter season.
