The Region Hannover as a Business Hub

In collaboration with five partners, Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) has developed a location marketing campaign that highlights the strengths of the Region Hannover as a business hub. The campaign launches nationwide on November 14 with out-of-home media, online, and social media advertising.
The goal of the campaign is to use pioneering projects to showcase the many advantages of the Region Hannover to students, startups, and skilled workers, thereby inspiring them to choose the region as a location.

Hannover is: a dynamic future.

Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH is launching a new campaign for the Region Hannover as a business hub

The joint project was launched by HMTG. In collaboration withhannoverimpuls GmbH, the State Capital and the Region Hannover, as well as Leibniz University and Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, four themes have been developed focusing on digital health, Smart City, Robotics City, and sustainable and innovative degree programs.

“We believe these designs successfully address the challenge of bringing together the diverse nature of the projects into a cohesive communication strategy while also developing visuals suitable for a multimedia campaign. They perfectly showcase the Region Hannover as a hub for business and science with significant growth potential,” says Hans Nolte, Managing Director of HMTG.

The economic development agency hannoverimpuls is highlighting “digital health” as a key milestone for a healthy future. “Hannover has tremendous expertise and potential in the healthcare industry. With our initiative, we want to work together with many partners to address societal challenges and actively help shape the healthcare system of the future. This national campaign will create even greater visibility for this effort,” says Doris Petersen, Managing Director of HannoverImpuls and initiator of DHCH.

With the Restart: #HANnovativ project, the state capital is capitalizing on the opportunities offered by digital applications and concepts. City Planning Director Thomas Vielhaber: “#HANnovativ will use smart technologies to make our daily lives easier, more efficient, and better. We are connecting real-world challenges in urban development with technical infrastructure and urban society. Step by step, we are working together to pave the way for a bright future—a livable and lovable, climate-adapted and climate-neutral, and smart city of Hannover. In doing so, we put people at the center, because the social aspect is important to us.”

Under the banner “Robotics City,” the Region Hannover is highlighting the region’s robotics activities, which have become a key focus in economic and employment development. Ulf-Birger Franz, Head of the Economic Affairs Department, said:
“The Region Hannover is a robotics hub, and we place a strong emphasis on supporting the next generation—with great success. World champion robotics teams regularly come from Hannover; a very strong community has emerged.”

In their location campaign, Leibniz University and Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts are focusing on the two key themes of sustainability and innovation, which are reflected in Hanover’s higher education landscape.
“As one of the nine leading technical universities in Germany, Leibniz University Hannover sees it as its responsibility to contribute to sustainable and responsible solutions for key challenges of the future,” said University President Prof. Dr. Volker Epping. “As an institution, we aim to be climate-neutral by 2031. In our teaching, we offer specific degree programs with a sustainability focus, but we also conduct courses each semester that emphasize sustainability across all degree programs.”

As an institution of applied sciences, Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts also places great emphasis on preparing students as effectively as possible for the challenges of tomorrow’s workplace. “Sustainability and innovation are two key components that shape our educational philosophy. As a university with strong regional roots, we are very pleased to represent the city of Hannover in
this context,” said Prof. Dr. Josef von Helden, President of Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
