“We are very pleased to be offering this successful promotion to the people of Hanover for the seventh time this year. Once again this year, we were able to secure a wide variety of hotels with more than 2,000 rooms available for booking,” says Hans Nolte, managing director of Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH.
5-star hotel for 115 euros per night, including breakfast
Guests can choose from about 30 different hotels—ranging from a
5-star property in the heart of downtown Hannover to hotels with stunning views, as well as accommodations featuring saunas and swimming pools, whether in an urban setting or surrounded by nature in the Hannover vacation region. With special themed rooms, a hearty and healthy breakfast buffet, or outdoor terraces, residents of Hanover are invited to experience their hometown from a new perspective with their entire family, partners, or friends
“This promotion is a perfect opportunity to get to know our hotels and hosts. The promotion period coincides so conveniently with the holidays that you can take advantage of it for a single night—for example, after seeing a play or a concert—or even for a long weekend. If you don’t want to commit to just one hotel, you can also use this special rate to ‘hotel-hop,’” recommends Nolte.
It's that simple: To book this special offer, only one guest per room needs to provide proof of residence in the Hannover region at check-in. No credit card is required for the booking. Free cancellation is available up to seven days before arrival. Bookings open on August 10, 2022, at 10 a.m. at www.visit-hannover.com/zugast
A break from the daily grind: What's happening in the city
With its numerous events, the long weekend offers a great opportunity for a short getaway from everyday life.
The Oktoberfest at Schützenplatz, for example, invites visitors to enjoy a lively celebration with festival beer, live music, and rides (closed on Mondays). The Roncalli Circus is performing at Waterlooplatz, the Great Garden in Herrenhausen will be festively illuminated from September 29 through October 1, and Hannover 96 is playing at home on Saturday, September 30.
The GOP Varieté Theater is hosting the spirited show “Sentimientos,” and the Staatstheater and Opera House also have plenty to offer. Those who prefer a more relaxed pace can take a leisurely stroll through the flea market in the Old Town on the last Saturday in September, then watch the surfers on the Leinewelle in front of the State Parliament building, and finally wind down the day in one of the cozy Old Town cafés. The good things in life are so close by—and so is the perfect place to stay after an enjoyable evening
