Once again this year, Hannover Marketing & Tourismus GmbH (HMTG), in collaboration with 30 hotels, is inviting residents of the Hannover region to a very special experience: “Zu Gast in deiner Stadt 2025” (Visiting Your City 2025). From October 30 to November 3, 2025, residents of the city and region can enjoy a short getaway right on their doorstep at exclusive special rates.

Bookings open: Wednesday, September 10, at 10 a.m. at www.visit-hannover.com/zu-gast Travel dates: October 30 through November 3, 2025

Price: 25 euros per hotel star and room, including breakfast

Condition: At least one guest per room must provide proof of residence in the Region Hannover at check-in.

Other: No credit card is required to make a reservation. You may cancel free of charge up to seven days before your arrival.

The exhibition brings together around 120 works by art icons Niki de Saint Phalle, Yayoi Kusama, and Takashi Murakami—including Niki’s “Nanas,” Kusama’s “Pumpkin Bag,” and the walk-in “Infinity Mirrored Room.” The first 50 guests to present their booking confirmation for “Zu Gast in deiner Stadt 2025” at the Tourist Information office at Ernst-August-Platz 8 will receive a voucher for free admission for two people—while supplies last.

And here's what else is happening during the promotion period

In addition to special hotel deals, the Region Hannover has many other experiences in store for the promotional weekend.

The sports action kicks off on October 31: At the ARS Arena in Mellendorf, the Hannover Scorpions will face off against the Rostock Piranhas—a home game that’s perfect for an evening out with friends or family.

On November 1, the ZAG Arena will turn into one big party zone: A great atmosphere is guaranteed at the '90s show featuring Mr. President, Oli P., Matze Knop, and many other stars. The atmosphere at Hannover Wies’n is just as lively, offering live music, Bavarian cuisine, and festival beer through November 8.

If you’d like to soak up the pre-Christmas atmosphere, the Winterzauber Herrenhausen is the place to be (October 29–November 2): Around 130 vendors will be showcasing gift ideas, arts and crafts, and regional specialties in the elegant setting of Herrenhausen Palace and Gardens.

On November 2, the city center and Hainholz invite you to a Sunday shopping event. Under the motto “Hannover Helps!”, the focus will be on charity and fundraising activities, as well as a St. Martin’s procession. In Hainholz, art and culture enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy, while shops in the city center will be open.

Hannover also has a lot to offer in terms of food and relaxation:

A meal at one of the four Michelin-starred restaurants in the state capital or a visit to a wellness center in the Region Hannover—such as the aquaLaatzium or the Kristall-Therme in Seelze—is the perfect way to round out the weekend.
