The HMTG Showcases Hanover's Most Beautiful Sights (January 14, 2014)

Six newly published brochures from Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) are getting people excited about the 2014 tourism season—and about visiting the Hannover vacation region. Together with the marketing partnership “die_9 Städte in Niedersachsen,” HMTG is currently promoting the region at the Dutch tourism fair “Vakantiebeurs.”

Discover the best of Hanover, mark your favorite events for the new year, and browse through the city tours and experience packages on offer: Six newly published brochures from the HMTG provide ideas for an unforgettable stay in the Hanover vacation region, showcase tourist highlights, offer cultural recommendations, and provide information about the HMTG’s conference services.

The “Entdeckermagazin” provides a comprehensive overview of tourism offerings for groups and individual travelers across approximately 50 pages. The brochure answers all questions about a stay in Hanover—from travel and accommodations to attractions and excursion destinations in the city and surrounding region. Services such as detailed descriptions of hotels in downtown Hanover as well as those near the airport and the trade fair grounds make it easier to decide where to book. A wide range of experience packages for individual travelers, group arrangements with or without overnight stays, city tours, and activity modules also provide the ingredients for an unforgettable short trip. In keeping with the “Year of Britain” in 2014, the “Entdeckermagazin” features group offers specifically tailored to the state exhibition, such as “In the Footsteps of the Guelphs in the Hanover Region” or “Electors & Kings.”

The new “City Tours” flyer, available in German and English, provides an overview of the various city tours and walking tours offered by HMTG.
Also newly published and revised in both design and content are the compact overview brochures, “HannoverCard – Your Benefits” and “Hanover’s Most Beautiful Sides!”—a magazine that takes readers on a stroll through the beautiful Hanover region with stunning photos and provides plenty of information about visiting Hanover. Images of Herrenhausen Palace, the summery Maschsee with its colorful sailboats, the city center, and the museums, as well as scenes from event highlights like the International Fireworks Competition and pictures of the Steinhuder Meer, the Deister, and the Erlebnis-Zoo, will make you want to visit.

The newly published German-English promotional brochure, “Hannover Porträt,” featuring the summery Herrenhausen Gardens and Herrenhausen Palace on the cover, provides readers with a richly illustrated overview of the following topics: “Economy & Education,” “Tourism & Events,” “Art & Culture,” the “Herrenhausen Gardens,” “Leisure & Sports,” “Gardens & Recreation,” and “Visitor Services.” The “Hannover Portrait” is also available in Dutch, Spanish, Italian, and French.

The “Congress City” brochure provides an overview of the wide range of conference venues in the Hanover region, showcases new meeting options and tourist highlights, and offers suggestions for planning a supporting program. In addition, the HMTG introduces “Congress Selected Hotels,” a free hotel booking service with a best-price guarantee that allows hotel rooms to be booked up to three years in advance.

In total, the new Hanover brochures—all of which are also available in English—have a print run of approximately 200,000 copies. They will be available free of charge starting January 15 (the conference brochure about a week later) at the Tourist Information office at Ernst-August-Platz 8, and will be distributed at hotels and the convention center, at workshops and travel fairs—or made available on buses and trains.

All brochures can also be downloaded online at www.hannover.de/downloads and at www.hannover.de/en/brochures (English version). Additional brochures, such as “Open on Sundays,” will be reprinted in the coming weeks. QR codes on the backs of the brochures can also be easily scanned with a smartphone and lead directly to www.hannover-tourismus.de.

Kicking off the tourism year together

The new Hanover brochures will also be distributed at the “Vakantiebeurs.” Together with the marketing partnership “die_9 Städte in Niedersachsen,” the HMTG will be promoting a visit to the Hanover vacation region at a joint booth at the tourism trade show in the Netherlands from January 14 to 19.
