Events such as HANNOVER MESSE, CEMAT, IAA, and AGRITECHNICA—the world’s largest agricultural machinery trade fair—have earned international renown.
As a major international trade fair city, Hannover boasts a tradition spanning more than 60 years. Today, the world’s largest Fairground—with over 460,000 m² of indoor space and 58,000 m² of outdoor space—rank among the most modern of their kind. Here, technology events such as HANNOVER MESSE serve as hubs for innovation. Each year, major industrial nations serve as partner countries. When the United States served as a partner for Hannover Messe 2016, U.S. President Barack Obama opened the world’s most important industrial trade fair. Other leading trade fair events—such as DOMOTEX, LIGNA, BIOTECHNICA, CeMAT, and AGRITECHNICA—regularly underscore the venue’s significance as a key driver of economic growth.
