“Wet, cold, muddy”—that’s exactly the point! This unique atmosphere sets the stage for an exciting sporting event this November. Whether it’s the “Hurdle Enclosure,” the “Racetrack Massif,” a water ditch, or barricades: the first obstacles for the spectacular 8.5-kilometer loop—which participants will run through once or twice—on the grounds of the Neue Bult horse racing track have been finalized.
It’s time for participants to start training, because this ultimate outdoor running event is a “tough as nails” test that will push them to their limits. The race is ideal for those looking for new challenges where they can put their skills to the test under extreme conditions. “We’re currently working on challenges that can be tackled either individually or in groups,” explained Carsten Krebs from the organizer, eichels: Events. “Demand for this exciting premiere is enormous, both from participants in Germany and abroad; the new website for the event has also recently gone live,” added Krebs.
You can register at www.steelman-hannover.de. In addition to the brand-new trailer, the website features further details as well as an updated course map showing the first obstacles. Participants can stay either at the Steelman Camp or at partner hotels, which offer special Steelman “all-inclusive” packages with attractive overnight rates. Those interested can find more information at www.hannover.de/steelman_erlebnispaket.
In addition, in collaboration with the Hannover Marathon and the Maschsee Triathlon, a special competition is being held to find the “TriTan Hannover”—the overall winner across all three events.
All sports fans are cordially invited to experience this exciting new event and, while they’re at it, discover the charms of the Hanover vacation region. Located in the heart of northern Germany and easily accessible by plane, train, or car thanks to its status as a major transportation hub, the region offers numerous sights and attractions in the areas of sports, culture, and business.
