Experience packages, lodging deals, special packages, gifts, fireworks, and more—Give the gift of Hannover, and enjoy it together!
Take a peek at the festively decorated courtyard of Marienburg Castle, enjoy special moments with your family at the Winter Zoo, or immerse yourselves together in a world of dreams at the upcoming Opera Ball—all of these can be unforgettable experiences in Hannover! The striking imagery from HMTG’s current winter and Christmas campaign offers these and other ideas for little breaks from the daily grind. Starting November 18, with over 1,000 large-format posters and Citylights from Emden to Kassel, as well as the current newspaper supplement “Tips and Dates” (circulation: 1.8 million), the campaign inspires people to give the gift of unforgettable moments, emotions, and memories.
“With this campaign, we especially want to reach people who are looking for something special, because that’s exactly what we all want to convey with our gifts,” explains Hans Christian Nolte, CEO of Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH. “People often remember wonderful shared experiences for years to come.”
The campaign isn’t just aimed at tourists and visitors—it also encourages Hannover residents to (re)discover the special places in their Holiday Region, such as taking another look at the current exhibition at the State Museum or marveling at the international artists at the GOP Varieté Theater. Following the lead of HMTG’s fall campaign, “The best time is always… now!”, the winter campaign also features tablet screens displaying atmospheric glimpses of diverse events, combined with large-scale exterior views of various destinations. In this way, the visuals offer a preview of the many unforgettable moments waiting behind the facades.
In addition to the emotionally evocative imagery on the posters, the newspaper insert—distributed within a radius of approximately 250 km around the Hannover Holiday Region—provided specific tips, event listings, and over 20 accommodation packages for truly special experiences in Hannover. How about, for example, a visit to the GOP children’s Christmas musical “Pinocchio” with the grandparents, a get-together with coworkers at the Christmas market, or an unforgettable evening with your loved one at Cirque du Soleil?
The joy of sharing moments together is also at the heart of these experience packages. Whether it’s a wellness weekend at Steinhuder Meer with your best friend, attending a Udo Lindenberg concert with your neighbor, showing your niece the best side of Hannover, or ringing in the New Year at the Feuerwerk der Turnkunst—customized overnight packages offer visitors a wide range of opportunities to experience Hannover together.
