Hannover, State Capital – Music Capital

Four major events at the HDI Arena—featuring Robbie Williams, Coldplay, and two concerts by Depeche Mode—are making a big splash in the UNESCO City of Music. From the Red Hot Chili Peppers and System of a Down to Bryan Adams and five shows by Helene Fischer—Hannover is the top destination on the tour schedule.

Hans Christian Nolte, Managing Director of Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG), is delighted: “We’re expecting a summer of concerts like no other, one that will draw many visitors from Germany and abroad to Hannover.”

With the visit of these global stars, the state capital of Hannover is reinforcing its reputation as a UNESCO City of Music in the realm of rock and pop as well.

The winter season is already kicking off in Hannover with highlights such as Night of the Proms, the winter variety show “WET,” the “Feuerwerk der Turnkunst” gymnastics show, and concerts by major national stars of the pop and rock scene, such as Peter Maffay and Ina Müller.

Other major events, such as the Maschsee Festival, the International Fireworks Competition in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen, the KunstFestSpiele, and the traditional Marksmen´s Fair, round out the year’s events.
