Hannover: The Perfect Blend—Classic and Urban Scenes That Make You Want to Visit!

"A place worth living in and loving"—that’s how Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) is promoting the Region Hannover at the International Tourism Exchange in Berlin.

On the first day of the ITB trade show for industry professionals, March 8, approximately 30,000 copies of the “Hannover Living” promotional brochure—created specifically for the ITB—will be available on ICE trains en route to Berlin. In addition to the neighborhood tips from the pocket guide “Hannover Unverwechselbar” and its colorful and refreshing impressions, this brochure presents further highlights and attractions of the Region Hannover, current events, and attractive experience packages for your next visit to Hannover.

In the middle of the ITB special edition is the insert “Your Perfect Day” from “9 Cities + 1 in Lower Saxony.” Here, the member cities have compiled tips for a perfect day. In Celle, for example, this includes a visit to the last river fisherman on the Aller; Göttingen recommends watching newly graduated doctors kiss the Gänseliesel statue, while the perfect day in Goslar begins with a visit to the Imperial Palace. The Pied Piper musical “RATS” in Hamelin, the Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum in Hildesheim, or a visit to the Autostadt in Wolfsburg are also attractive components for a varied, perfect day in the “9 Cities + 1 in Lower Saxony.”
Upon arrival in Berlin, large-scale posters at the main train station and the trade fair stations, as well as GroundPosters along the routes to the Fairground, whet the appetite for a visit to Hannover. In keeping with this, promotional teams at the entrances to Messe Berlin hand out the ITB brochure “Hannover Living.”

Bloggers Welcome – Hannover Goes Global
At www.hannover.de/bloggers, you’ll now find numerous posts by national and international travel bloggers who have already visited Hannover and shared their personal impressions. Last year alone, 25 travel bloggers—with 675,000 blog visitors and a reach of around 1.4 million social media contacts—visited Hannover and wrote about it in several articles. In addition to the blog posts, reisereporter.de also features top content for a weekend in the city: from cultural activities to the best restaurants and bars, all the way to genuine insider tips. www.reisereporter.de/hannover
In addition, the pocket guide “Hannover unverwechselbar” offers many insider tips and neighborhood information. It has now been published with a total print run of around 550,000 copies in German, English, and Dutch. It is distributed where the young target audience hangs out: in bars and cafés, universities, movie theaters, and gyms, on long-distance buses, and in hotels. In addition to the “Hannover Living” app, the new blog of the same name also provides updates on nightlife and party events as well as fresh, up-to-date insider tips: www.hannover-living.de
