Hannover Takes Off: A Gift-Giving Experience in Just 3 Clicks!

With a nationwide advertising campaign, Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) is promoting unique gift experiences in Hannover. Large-scale billboards, radio spots, the newspaper supplement “Tipps und Termine,” and the new e-magazine “Hannover Living” offer plenty of ideas.

Go wild at Hannover’s Winter Variety Show, experience the “oohs and aahs” in the sky at the International Fireworks Competition in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen, take some time to explore the Amazon in the new Panorama exhibit at the adventure zoo, stroll through Hannover’s festive Christmas shopping district for a delicious and festive treat, or take off with the Christmas Circus: these are just a few of the many gift ideas from the current winter campaign. Plus, the promise that you can book your gift experience online in just 3 clicks via the website www.visit-hannover.com.

“This is our largest and most comprehensive winter campaign to date. I’m particularly eager to see how the e-magazine is received by our guests and visitors. With this, HMTG has taken another important step toward the digitalization of tourism in Hanover,” said Hans Christian Nolte, Managing Director of Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH.

The newspaper supplement, which currently has a circulation of 2.1 million copies and is distributed from the coast to Hesse, features 17 carefully selected activity packages designed to inspire readers to spend time together in Hannover. These include, for example, overnight packages for event highlights such as the Winter Zoo, the International Fireworks Competition, the GOP Children’s Christmas Musical “Cinderella,” the Winter Ball in the Kuppelsaal, or the Fireworks of Gymnastics on New Year’s Eve. In addition, the supplement, which will be published on November 17, offers many tips and suggestions for a visit to Hannover during the pre-Christmas season.

The new e-magazine “Hannover Living” is being released for the first time as part of the current winter campaign. The digital magazine provides a concise overview of the Hannover region’s perennial highlights, paired with up-to-date event recommendations, including an experience package. A special highlight of the e-magazine is its multimedia content—many topics feature videos, photo galleries, 360° images, or direct links that provide plenty of additional information. The content of “Hannover Living” is tailored specifically to a younger, digitally savvy audience—for example, with neighborhood profiles, concert recommendations, and New Year’s Eve party tips!

The digital magazine is easy to browse and read on any device. Of course, it’s free to download.

From November 21 to December 14, 2017, approximately 1,600 large-format posters and Megalights from Hamburg to the Ruhr region will promote a special experience package. The six different motifs of the winter campaign each highlight a specific gift experience—featuring minimalist imagery paired with a casual script font. At the same time, radio spots in East Frisia, the Lüneburg area, Hamburg, Bremen, and the Oldenburg region ensure that Hannover’s message cannot be overlooked. Online activities and banner ads on selected and popular websites round out the campaign.
