Over the past two years, more than 1,500 residents from the city and Region Hannover have stayed at “their” hotels. That’s a good reason for Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH to offer a promotional weekend for the third year in a row. From October 27 to 31, all residents of the Hannover region are invited to take a vacation right where they live. Whether at the Park-Hotel on the outskirts, a 5-star hotel in the heart of the city, a themed room, or a hotel with a view of Lake Masch—here, your actual home can become a vacation destination. There are plenty of reasons to do so: simply sleep in and enjoy the comfort of a hotel breakfast, go shopping with your best friend, or visit one of the many museums. Numerous events also invite you to wind down the evening comfortably at the hotel. For example, the Oktober Wiesn at the Gilde Parkbühne creates a traditional Bavarian party atmosphere, the birthday show “Metropolitan” at the GOP Varieté Theater is fast-paced and spectacular, and in the musical Non(n)sens, five nuns take the stage to pursue their secret passion for performing.
