For 12 years now, the discount card has been a huge hit with students in Hannover. Last winter semester, approximately 4,500 new Hausmarken were issued and have been actively used ever since.
Over 100 retailers, bars, restaurants, museums, and gyms are participating in the Hausmarke event with their own promotions—and the number is growing. New additions this year include, for example, the fun sports providers “NeonGolf” and “Superfly AirSports,” Vapiano Hannover, KAZUMI Sushi Manufaktur, and the Fahrradcafé on Engelbostler Damm. Of course, the classics and popular participating businesses are also back, such as the GOP Varieté Theater, Knabberzeit, HAJ Marathon, and Ulli’s Ullikat.
“The Hausmarke is part of our marketing efforts targeting the approximately 49,000 students now enrolled at Hannover’s universities. With its discounts and special offers, this card is a great companion and also encourages students to explore the city’s neighborhoods and discover new things,” says Hans Christian Nolte, Managing Director of Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH.
To mark the start of the new winter semester, a flyer, the website www.hannover.de/hausmarke, and recent Facebook posts provide a concise overview of all participating businesses and their special offers. The marketing campaign for students is being planned and implemented by Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH.

All students at universities in Hannover can obtain the discount card at the Tourist Information office at Ernst-August-Platz 8 by presenting their ID card or student ID along with their enrollment certificate. The card is valid until the expected completion of their studies and can be renewed or reissued as needed.
