The team from Marutamaya Co. is attending the International Fireworks Competition at the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen

In the sold-out Großer Garten, the Japanese team will light up the sky above the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen on September 21, the final night of the 2019 International Fireworks Competition.

International Fireworks Competition - Japan

Right at the entrance, the Sky Dreams—large, airy silk blossoms—enchant guests with an atmospheric performance. Majestic geishas in magnificent robes make their way to the Grand Garden for the finale, where they encounter Drumime, who playfully invites everyone to join in the grand drumming. With tremendous power and tension in rhythm and choreography, Masa-Daiko ignites a veritable drumming spectacle in the Garden Theater. Traditional clothing, ranging from children’s garments to wedding kimonos, is presented on the rehearsal stage. At 9:00 p.m., the Japanese fireworks team takes over. Show designers Sayaka Shimada, Kazuya Shibasaki, and Minoru Ishikawa look forward to presenting the 11,000 guests in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen with a brilliant, boundless, and fascinating fireworks display under the theme “Extravaganza.” Starting at 9:30 p.m., Juliano Rossi will entertain the audience on the awards stage—almost a tradition by now—until the announcement of the 2019 winning team, with his unmistakable voice, cool understatement, and swing.

The Team: Marutamaya Co.
This team could also be described as a leading Japanese company specializing in pyrotechnic shows and their design. The Japanese company manufactures its own products, which are characterized by high quality, perfect shapes, and exquisite colors. Perhaps this is precisely why their shows are so successful internationally. The team has showcased its skills in Europe, Africa, and Canada, among other places. For example, in 2018 they took second place in the “Flammende Sterne” competition in Heilbronn.
