Fascinating museums, moving theater performances, and international concert highlights

The brochure briefly introduces the individual museums in the Hanover region—including internationally renowned institutions such as the Sprengel Museum, the Landesmuseum, and the Kestner Gesellschaft, as well as smaller, lesser-known museums like the Wöhler-Dusche Hof and the Zinnober Children’s Museum. The mix of spectacular exhibitions and unique thematic offerings makes every museum visit an unforgettable experience. The performing arts scene is just as unique: from major world premieres at the State Opera or the Schauspielhaus to international shows at the GOP Varieté Theater, as well as performances by international artists at the Theater am Aegi and open-air performances at the Deister Open-Air Stage. The new brochure was published with the kind support of Sparkasse Hannover.

The brochure is now available at the Tourist Information Office at Ernst-August-Platz 8, at several branches of Sparkasse Hannover, and at various cultural institutions in Celle, Göttingen, Hamelin, and Wolfsburg. Posters and commercials on üstra’s passenger TV system are also drawing attention to the new brochure.

“We’re looking forward to an exciting year for art and culture lovers. Classical, rock, diverse, and international—that’s how Hannover will present itself in its museums, on its stages, and especially at the numerous concerts and events in 2019,” adds Hans Christian Nolte, managing director of Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG).

Of course, Hannover’s cultural scene is also accessible via cell phones, tablets, and other devices: On its new website, www.visit-hannover.com/kultur, the HMTG showcases the diverse offerings for tourists and residents alike and provides valuable information for unique cultural experiences. You can quickly and easily find an overview of all cultural institutions, major cultural events such as the KunstFestSpiele, the Night of Museums, and the Long Night of Theaters, current exhibitions, and the performance schedules for Hannover’s theaters. Of course, the year’s concert highlights are also featured here: from Ed Sheeran, Phil Collins, and PINK to Herbert Grönemeyer and David Garrett. Also on the site: two short “Hannover Living” videos that offer a glimpse into the city’s museum scene from the comfort of your own home and inspire you to visit these unique venues.
