Off to the Deister!

Just in time for the start of the hiking and biking season, Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG), in collaboration with the Deister Working Group, has created a new promotional brochure featuring plenty of information, suggested routes, and tips for day trips to enjoy a short getaway in Hannover’s local mountain range. Under the current slogan #WirbleibenzuHause, a digital, page-turning, and clickable version of this brochure is now available at www.visit-hannover.com/deister, inviting you to start planning your trip. A new promotional video from the “Hannover Living” series brings vivid impressions and fresh perspectives of the green mountain range in the Hannover vacation region right into your living room.

Hans Christian Nolte, Managing Director of HMTG, on the current marketing activities: “With the photos in the new promotional brochure, the 360° VR tour, and, of course, the video footage, you can escape the daily grind and immerse yourself in the local recreational area right on our doorstep. Especially given the current situation, we want to offer inspiration for your next outing, show just how beautiful our entire vacation region is—including the Deister, Calenberger Land, Steinhuder Meer, and the horse-riding region—and provide plenty of ideas for your next visit.”

The six Deister municipalities—Bad Münder, Bad Nenndorf, Barsinghausen, Rodenberg, Springe, and Wennigsen—present their tourist highlights in the newly designed brochure, provide information on guided tours, and highlight their family-friendly activities. Thematic hiking tours exploring the history of mining, garden design, special viewpoints, or the connection between monasteries and art—combined with great recommendations for places to stop for a bite to eat—offer readers many opportunities to discover the Deister. Local attractions such as farmers’ markets, farm stands, tips on recurring events, and advice for a sustainable stay in the Deister round out the information.
