With the start of fall break in northern Germany, Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HTMG) is promoting a visit to the Hannover Holiday Region under the slogan “The Perfect Day Off.”

The Perfect Day Off in Hannover

A colorful mix of leisure activities promises an exciting day of vacation fun: Spend the morning exploring the sights along the "Roter Faden" route—including short breaks for coffee and shopping. In the afternoon, try out new fun sports at Neon Mini-Golf, on the trampoline course, or at LaserTag. Things get wild and exciting with a visit to the hanover adventure zoo, followed by a city tour on a hop-on hop-off double-decker bus.

“We invite you to enjoy a safe and pleasant vacation in the Region Hannover. Our hotels, recreational facilities, restaurants, and retail stores are well-prepared to ensure our guests have a relaxing time here. The proximity and blend of city life and nature promise unique experiences,” said Hans Nolte, Managing Director of Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH.

For all Hannover fans who’d like to extend their stay with an overnight visit, an evening at the GOP Varieté Theater, the Schauspielhaus, or one of the many restaurants is a great option. The next day, the itinerary includes exciting nature experiences with a trip to Marienburg, the Deister, or Steinhuder Meer. The activities and opportunities in this Holiday Region range from exciting and relaxing to naturally urban.

“We want to show that it’s still possible to enjoy a wonderful family vacation even with the restrictions caused by the pandemic. The pandemic is a great reason to take advantage of and discover all the wonderful things to do right in our own backyard,” says Martin Prenzler, Executive Director of City-Gemeinschaft Hannover e.V., expressing his enthusiasm for the joint campaign.

Five unique ideas for the perfect day of vacation have been turned into large-format posters. Starting October 9, these colorful designs will be displayed on approximately 200 billboards in Bielefeld, Braunschweig, Bremen, Göttingen, and Wolfsburg, inviting people to visit Hannover. Ads in daily newspapers in Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony, as well as corresponding online advertising, are also part of the campaign. The radio partner is the German Cities Network (DSN), which reaches listeners throughout northern Germany as well as in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate via the stations Radio 21, Rockland Radio, and Antenne Sylt. In the neighboring countries of Denmark and the Netherlands, advertisements in the daily newspapers and on the websites of “Jydske Vestkysten” and “Vrijetijdkrant” promote a visit to Hannover this fall.

Cord Kelle, Chair of the DEHOGA Hannover Region Hotel Division, invites guests to explore the region’s diverse range of hotels: “From country inns on the edge of the forest to hotels in the heart of the city, the Region Hannover has the perfect option for every type of vacation. Especially in these times, we are all experienced hosts with a warm heart.”
