Asia is the guest of honor at the 30th International Fireworks Competition in 2022
“5 Dates – 5 Teams – 5 Continents” – under this motto, the world is coming together this year at the International Fireworks Competition in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen.
Fireworks competition
At the second event on June 11, the Vulcan Display Fireworks team will take the stage to represent Asia. Fireworks enthusiasts will be greeted by the dancing Golden Dragon, and in the Garden Theater, resonant undertone singing will blend with pulsating drum rhythms to create an acoustic journey along the Silk Road. Magnificent Baroque equestrian artistry can be admired on this competition evening at the Western Crescent. On the grand staircase, the Wushu department of VfL Wolfsburg will present the traditional lion dance as well as Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Wushu, and Chinese martial arts.
At 10:30 p.m., the team from Vulcan Display Fireworks will take the sky-high stage with their show “Diven.” “The Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen are simply the perfect backdrop for our pyrotechnic spectacle. Pyrotechnics have the power to illuminate the gardens—from the sculptures to the trees and fountains, all the way to the audience,” enthuses Cindy Cheung, co-owner and designer of Vulcan Display Fireworks.
“Creating something special and unique here in Hannover takes time and a willingness to experiment. Fans of the International Fireworks Competition can look forward to a special fireworks display today, featuring unique ground-based elements and effects developed specifically for this evening,” Cheung adds.
The Team: Vulcan Display Fireworks
Vulcan Display Fireworks was founded in 1974 and is considered one of the pioneering companies in the modern Chinese fireworks industry. The team currently operates three factories in the provinces of Hunan, Guangdong, and Guangxi, where it manufactures fireworks for both professional and private use for the international market. In Hannover, too, they have already wowed the audience and the jury twice with their show. The team produces shows for competitions worldwide that capture the audience’s excitement and anticipation in a very special way.
