“5 Dates – 5 Teams – 5 Continents” – under this motto, the world is invited to the International Fireworks Competition in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen. To kick off the anniversary year, the Skylighter Fireworx team will represent Australia. Two playful kangaroos greet the audience, a school of fish frolics among the coral reefs, and Misses Ocean emerges from the sea. At the Garden Theater, PanGaea takes the audience on a journey to otherworldly realms with didgeridoos, saxophone, percussion, and electronic harmonies, while on the rehearsal stage, Alternative Soul by Sydney-based singer Georgie Fisher takes the stage.
At 10:00 p.m., the sky above the Großer Garten will belong to Skylighter Fireworx and their show “A Magical Journey.” “It’s simply a magical setting for the ancient art of fireworks. The gardens look as if they haven’t changed in centuries—a truly beautiful work,” enthuses Rob Fairbanks, designer for the Australian pyrotechnics team. “We take the audience on a magical journey into our world. As the fireworks come to life and light up the sky, our passion for this art form becomes palpable with every single beat of the music. Each segment is performed in different variations and with timing precise to the second, while maintaining our unique Australian style. We want to make our show an unforgettable experience,” the designer promises the audience at the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen.
The Team: Skylighter Fireworx
Skylighter Fireworx is one of Australia’s largest and most sought-after pyrotechnics companies. They are large enough to deliver state-of-the-art, world-class displays, yet small enough to personally oversee, design, deliver, and execute every single production. With award-winning shows in Macau, Canada, the U.S., the Philippines, and the U.K., Skylighter Fireworx presents numerous fireworks displays each year both domestically and internationally, leaving audiences in awe and wonder.
