Magnificent fountains, enchanting flower beds, meticulously trimmed hedges, and graceful statues: In 2015, it became the first German park to be awarded the European Garden Prize in the “Historic Gardens” category.
From June 15 to June 1, 2020, the Baroque gardens will serve as the golden backdrop for the KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen.
Top-notch pyrotechnics teams from around the world will dazzle audiences over five evenings between May and September at theInternational Fireworks Competition, filling the evening sky with explosive works of art combining light and music. This year, teams from all five continents will compete: teams from Australia, Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas will showcase their skills in the sky above the Herrenhausen Gardens.
During the cooler months, the Gallery and the Orangery become popular venues for classical concerts. Starting in late November, the Orangery once again transforms into the stage for the legendary GOP Winter Variety Show.
