Whether it’s the Christmas markets in the Hannover vacation region or a winter wonderland at the Hannover Adventure Zoo, everywhere is beautifully decorated and decked out for winter.

The Christmas markets are an absolute highlight of the winter season: In the Old Town—featuring a historic and Finnish Christmas village and the "Wishing Well Forest"—as well as in front of the main train station, along the Lister Meile, and in many other locations throughout the Hanover region, visitors can enjoy the festive spirit from late November until just before Christmas.

Starting in late November, the Hannover Adventure Zoo is always filled with winter and Christmas spirit. A winter market, an ice rink, and hot cocoa await winter zoo fans—and admission is even free starting at 4 p.m.

In addition, the GOP Winter Variety Show, the GOP Children’s Christmas Musical, the Christmas Circus, and many other events attract visitors of all ages to Hanover.
