Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) is Hannover’s central service provider for regional and city marketing as well as tourism promotion. Renowned businesses and interest groups from the Hannover region support HMTG—founded in 2008—as cooperation partners and shareholders. To strengthen our marketing team, we are looking for a dedicated project assistant. The position is available starting October 1, 2026, and is a permanent position.
Your tasks & responsibilities:
As a project assistant, you will support our marketing team in planning, organizing, and implementing a wide range of marketing projects. In particular, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Organizational and administrative support for marketing projects
- Support in maintaining and further developing our project management tool
- Coordination and tracking of tasks, deadlines, and project workflows
- Preparing for and following up on meetings, as well as drafting meeting minutes and project documents
- Support for the internal planning and implementation of marketing initiatives for tourism offerings
- Recording, Documentation, and Reporting of Marketing Activities for Tourism Products
- Close collaboration with the Marketing Division management and other internal contacts
Your profile & qualifications:
- A successfully completed business apprenticeship, a college degree with a focus on marketing, tourism, or communications, or a comparable qualification
- Some initial work experience in project management or marketing is preferred
- Organizational skills and a structured, independent, and reliable approach to work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in using standard Microsoft Office applications; experience with project management or content management systems is a plus
- Very good written and spoken German
- Ability to work as part of a team, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility and dedication
