North Hanover Farmhouse Museum

The North Hanover Farmhouse Museum in Isernhagen is a rural historic building dating from the late 16th century. The farm complex—comprising the main house, a barn with a drive-through, a newly landscaped garden, a grassy courtyard, and a bakehouse in the Eichwald—has been preserved in its original state at its original location.

Since 1994, a small collection of rural cultural assets from the end of the 19th century has been housed here.

Changing exhibitions are held in the hallway every year. Bread and cakes are baked in the restored bakehouse on the Wöhler-Dusche farm.

The farm serves as a community center hosting a variety of rural cultural events. It is open every Sunday from early May through late September, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.—and during the week for groups by appointment. Admission is free every day! The entrance hall also hosts rotating exhibitions each year.
