The region serves up a feast

The growing appreciation for regional products is clearly evident in many restaurants. Traditional Lower Saxon cuisine appeals above all to those who enjoy hearty dishes such as kale with Bregenwurst sausage, Calenberger Pfannenschlag, or Steinhuder eel. But even the most discerning palates are delighted—for example, by the asparagus from the renowned growing regions of Burgdorf and Nienburg.
