In order to provide information about Hannover and encourage visitors to stay in the capital of Lower Saxony, starting next week, tourist brochures about Hannover in Spanish will be available for one month on all 17 Iberia Express flights. The 16-page brochure provides an overview of the diverse leisure offerings in this vacation region and the “9 Cities of Lower Saxony,” offers travel tips, and highlights both the city’s strengths as an economic, scientific, and healthcare hub and its role as a center for trade fairs and conferences. It will not only be available on flights between Madrid and Hannover but will also be distributed across the entire Iberia Express route network, for example, on flights to Amsterdam, Dublin, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and the Canary Islands.
In addition, Hannover Marketing und Tourismus GmbH (HMTG) distributes this magazine—whose cover features Herrenhausen Palace—in Madrid, with a total print run of approximately 150,000 copies. On November 21 and 22, it will be included as a supplement in “El País,” one of Spain’s largest newspapers, as well as in “ABC,” another of Spain’s leading dailies.
A powerful economic hub in the heart of Europe, a location with excellent transport links thanks to superb mobility solutions, a range of leisure activities offering fascinating diversity… In the Hannover Region, all of this is complemented by affordable, high-quality housing and a proximity to nature that is unique in Germany.
The hometown of the universal genius Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz presents itself as a hub for innovation open to the world, built on close collaboration between science and business.
The result is an economic dynamism that is evident in forward-looking sectors such as healthcare, as well as in its role as an internationally recognized hub for trade fairs and conferences.
Among the countless examples of the city’s high quality of life are world-class cultural and sporting events, a superb selection of museums, and fantastic shopping opportunities in one of Germany’s largest pedestrian zones and in the picturesque old town.
Attractions for the public, such as the famous Herrenhausen Gardens and Hannover’s unique “Adventure Zoo,” as well as legendary major events like the Maschseefest (Maschsee Lake Festival) or the Marksmen´s Fair, the world’s largest marksmen’s festival, captivate locals and tourists alike. In addition, visitors benefit from a city where everything is within easy reach: all attractions can be reached in a short time.
On a supraregional scale, Hanover is well connected via the A2 and A7 highways, Deutsche Bahn’s ICE (high-speed) network, and Hanover Airport.
