日本チームを迎えての国際花火競技会

Marutamaya is among this year’s participants. As a leader in the Japanese fireworks industry, Marutamaya is set to captivate both the judges and the audience at the competition held on September 6 in the packed gardens of the Helenheuser Palace with its traditional Japanese fireworks, characterized by high artistic quality and exquisite design. Marutamaya’s artistic pyrotechnic techniques are highly regarded internationally, and the company has won numerous awards to date.For example, they took third place at the Montreal International Fireworks Competition (1994), first place (2005) and second place (2013) at the Ostfildern Fireworks Competition in Germany, and at the Bruno(Czech Republic) Ignis Brunaisis 2008 International Fireworks Competition, they were honored with the People’s Choice Award and the Czech TV Prize. Furthermore, this Japanese team has participated in fireworks shows in New York, Montreal, Paris, London, Serbia, Moscow, Sydney, and Hong Kong.

ハノーバーと広島の友好都市関係　

The "Japanese Evening" program, held in conjunction with the International Fireworks Competition, features dragon boat racing, manga, a kimono show, Japanese music, and Japanese dance. These events are organized in cooperation with the DJF Hannover-Hiroshima Friendship Association and the DJG Hannover Tea Ceremony Society.The cities of Hannover and Hiroshima have been closely linked by a sister city partnership since 1983. In addition to the annual Cherry Blossom Festival held at Hiroshima-Hein, the Peace Bell is rung at St. Egidien Church in memory of the atomic bomb survivors of Hiroshima. Furthermore, tea ceremonies, exhibitions, exchange programs, and numerous other events contribute to the promotion of Japanese culture and active cultural exchange in our city.
