Hannover showcases world-class fireworks

Over five nights between May and September, top-tier pyrotechnic teams from Mexico, China, Portugal, England, and Croatia will showcase their creativity and artistry as they transform the skies over Hannover into a spectacular display—a radiant mosaic of brilliant bursts of light. And all of this will be perfectly accompanied by music, creating a truly multisensory experience.

Antes de que los equipos de fuegos artificiales cautiven a la audiencia con su interpretación de la parte obligatoria y la sección libre posterior, hay música en vivo, actuaciones variadas y números de equilibrismo para que la espera vaya más deprisa, con ocio temático para cada uno de los países participantes. Un jurado profesional decidirá quién resulta ser ganador de esta competición de importancia internacional.

The competition, organized by Hannover Veranstaltungs GmbH (HVG), will kick off on May 12 with a spectacular display by last year’s winners, “Pirotécnia Reyes” from Mexico. In 2011, the Latin American pyrotechnicians triumphed over their rivals in Hannover with their incredible display. The event continues on June 9 with the Chinese team 'Panda Fireworks.' They created a global sensation with their fireworks for the Beijing Olympics and at the opening of Expo 2010 in Shanghai. The portfolio of the Portuguese pyrotechnicians from 'Grupo Luso Pirotecnia' (August 25) includes numerous displays commissioned for international soccer events such as the 2004 European Championships. The 'Jubilee Fireworks' team (September 8) is widely regarded as one of the leading pyrotechnics companies in the United Kingdom. Among the achievements of the English pyrotechnicians is a gold medal awarded at the '1st Philippines International Pyromusical Competition' in 2010. Thus, on September 22, the Croatian pyrotechnicians from 'Mirnovec Pirotehnika' will present the final display. And that promises to be a truly glamorous event: the company, founded in the Croatian city of Samobor in 1993, boasts a client list that includes prominent names such as the Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Metallica, Steven Spielberg, and Richard Gere.

El año pasado, la International Fireworks Competition atrajo a más de 49.000 espectadores. En uno de los jardines barrocos más encantadores de Europa, las audiencias se deleitaron con las artes pirotécnicas de los competidores suizos, franceses, españoles, austriacos y mexicanos.
