Hannes Malte Mahler: Retrospective

Hannes Malte Mahler is an artist whose work is as colorful and multifaceted as his heraldic animal—the chameleon. The range of his work is enormous, spanning painting, drawing, and photography, as well as object and performance art, all the way to installations with and without “particles” made of Styrodur, doodles, and other trifles. Added to this are digital drawings that Mahler—exploring the tension between art and commerce—transferred onto colorful T-shirts and cloth bags in one of his most recent major projects, titled “Mahlerwear. It is art.”
