Hello Europe
Swiss pyromaniacs end the summer break at the International Fireworks Competition
“Hello Europe”—under this theme, our neighboring countries are guests at this year’s International Fireworks Competition in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen.
Hello, Switzerland
The Swiss team “Pyromantiker Luzern” is coming out of its summer hiatus and will light up the sky above the Baroque Garden in Herrenhausen on August 19.
Golden Angels escort guests to the Great Garden, where enchanting wonderlands and fresh evergreens welcome them to their Swiss landscape. The fidgety Bellmondo bustles through the crowd, while the eager nurse struggles with a rebellious visitor in a mobile bed. Alongside the wild Italo-mix by Brazzo Brazzone & The World Brazz Ensemble, your ears will be treated to the authentic Swiss sounds of Alpcologne, complete with alphorns and singing. This Maag provides laughs on the cabaret stage with a comedy street show. On the children’s lawn, the duo “Einfach riesig” brings smiles to the little ones’ faces with clownish magic, juggling, and acrobatics.
The Team: Pyromantiker Lucerne
The name says it all: The Pyromantiker Luzern create a sense of wonder with their heartfelt displays. “Pyro” stands for fire, and “Romantiker” for emotion and mindfulness. With Baroque fireworks as their specialty, guests can look forward to a spectacular show that effectively showcases quintessential Swiss charm. “When I saw the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen, it was clear to me that we would love to perform in this wonderful Baroque setting. I could already picture my own ideas in my mind,” recalls Beat Felder, the team’s lead organizer. As the only association in Switzerland with the capability to manufacture pyrotechnic materials, the team—which has been active since 1996—is no stranger to the scene. The association, founded to promote artistic fireworks as a cultural tradition, has already performed in various parks and in the Swiss mountains and is now showcasing its skills for the first time at an international competition

Her Show – Ewigi Liäbi (Eternal Love)
Welcome to Switzerland: A cattle drive, a mountain panorama, and baroque fire displays transport the audience into the Swiss countryside, accompanied by yodeling, a traditional Swiss evening song, and national rock and pop hits. The grand finale is Rossini’s *William Tell*, the Swiss heroic epic.
An overview of the evening’s program: The fireworks display consists of a compulsory piece—this year, an excerpt from Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy,” the European anthem—and a free program lasting about 20 minutes:
Franz Stadelmann Beichle Jutz Leonard Bardell Views of Mountains and Valleys Anna Rossinelli Shine In The Light Rachel Diva & Piero Esteriore Eternal Love Gioachine Rossini William Tell
Radio21 will be streaming all five events live in collaboration with the Neue Presse.
