Hello Europe
Pyrovision brings a big circus to the canopy over Herrenhausen
“Hello Europe”—under this motto, we welcome our neighboring countries to this year’s International Fireworks Competition in the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen.
Hello Austria
On September 16, Pyrovision from Austria will wrap up its 31st fireworks season with a finale.
Right at the entrance, Viennese charm is on display in the form of golden cultural treasures. Castles, large figures, and visitors straight from the alpine pastures on stilts spread Austrian flair throughout the Great Garden. The menu features cheese spaetzle and schnitzel, and there’s a taste of Austria for the ears as well: Musically, we look forward to lively waltzes by Melange in the Garden Theater and acoustic pop and rock with a touch of folklore by Four Nations on the rehearsal stage. While juggling, clowns, and balancing acts by Circus Salto and Circus Bunttropfen entertain on the children’s lawn, Opus Furore dazzles with a magical fire show and fascinating juggling on the cabaret stage. Bella Bonza will heat up the awards stage with the finest soul food, and The Stomping Sugar Group will fill the Great Garden with swinging jazz.
Starting at 9 p.m., the stage belongs to the Austrian team Pyrovision, before things really heat up at 10 p.m. during the awards ceremony.
The Team: Pyrovision
Since 1996, the team led by Managing Director and show designer Christian Czech has been wowing audiences not only at home and abroad, but also in film and television. Based in Salzburg, the company organizes large-scale fireworks displays, designs special pyrotechnic effects, and creates choreographies of fire, form, and color—and with great success: they have already participated in international competitions, winning first place at the French “Nuits de Feu” festival in 2008.

Their Show – Cirque du Ciel – The Sky Dome. A circus revue
Pyrovision brings a grand circus to the Baroque Garden of the Royal Gardens of Herrenhausen. “The scale, symmetry, and precision were impressive. Finding a balance between the elaborate landscaping on the one hand and the needs of tourists on the other is a challenge that isn’t always easy to meet,” says Christian Czech, describing his current challenge. The canopy of the sky as the world’s largest tent, the Baroque garden as the circus ring, and the Austrian team as the stars of the evening. Pyrovision brings jugglers, the can-can troupe, the trapeze duo, the lions, and the clown to life through pyrotechnics. A dramatic yet comical audio drama accompanies the spectacle, which captivates the audience and lets the imagination run wild.
