ZF's Commercial Vehicle Control Systems division (formerly WABCO) is the world's leading supplier of brake control systems and other technologies designed to enhance the safety, efficiency, and connectivity of commercial vehicles.

ZF Friedrichshafen acquired WABCO Holdings Inc. in 2020 and now has 150,000 employees at approximately 260 locations in 41 countries. In Lower Saxony, the company operates at sites in Hannover, Gronau, Jeversen (test track), and Langenhagen (distribution center).

Wabco ZF nurtures its young talent at its in-house academy.

Hannover is the company’s largest product development and manufacturing site. Among other things, the company develops electronic braking systems, hydraulic anti-lock braking systems, transmission actuators, and compressors there.

Also based in Hannover is the WABCO Academy, the center of excellence for professional training solutions, as well as the associated Sales & Training Center. ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems currently employs more than 2,200 people at its Hannover site, including approximately 750 engineers.
