Hanover Chamber of Crafts
The Hanover Chamber of Crafts serves approximately 100,000 employees.
The Hanover Chamber of Skilled Trades serves approximately 19,000 member businesses with about 100,000 employees and 8,500 apprentices.
In addition to self-governance and advocacy, the Hannover Chamber of Crafts and Trades provides various services to its member businesses.
As a public-law corporation, the Hannover Chamber of Crafts regularly collects statistical data on trends in the number of businesses, apprentices, and those taking journeyman and master craftsman exams, and conducts surveys on economic conditions in the skilled trades sector.
The Skilled Trades – The Backbone of the German Economy
In addition to the city and region of Hannover, the Hannover Chamber of Crafts also represents the various guilds in the districts of Diepholz, Hameln, Nienburg, and Schaumburg. The Chamber of Crafts also has a strong international network, including official partnerships with the Seine-Maritime Chamber of Crafts in Rouen, France, and the Szczecin Chamber of Crafts in Poland. As part of these partnerships, there are reciprocal visits and exchange programs.
