A joint development agency strengthens businesses and positions Hannover as a hub for the future.

To actively support and shape business engagement in the Hannover economic region, the City of Hannover and the Region Hannover have established a joint economic development agency calledhannoverimpuls.

hannoverimpuls specializes in four key areas:

But startups are also in the right place here, as business creation and entrepreneurship are amonghannoverimpuls’s key strengths. As a bridge between companies, associations, and the academic community,hannoverimpuls leverages its unique industry networks and initiates innovative projects with founders itself. To help promising business ideas succeed,hannoverimpuls offers two startup competitions. STARTUP-IMPULS, in cooperation with Sparkasse, promotes the entrepreneurial implementation of good business ideas. The winners of the competition receive prize money and comprehensive consulting services. Professional status or current life circumstances do not matter for participation—what matters is that the idea can be realized as a business in the Hannover region. To simplify the starting conditions for founders,hannoverimpuls also offers the Plug & Work competition. Held four times a year, this competition supports young companies in entering the market by providing subsidized office and workspace with a total value of several thousand euros.
VentureVilla

To support young companies in their early stages, HannoverImpuls sponsors the VentureVilla in the Hannover-List district. At the VentureVilla, located right next to Eilenriede—Hannover’s largest city park—five startup teams spend exactly 100 days “accelerating” their business models in the true spirit of an accelerator. Participating teams receive free personalized coaching and mentoring, their own office in the heart of Hannover, and access to a large network of investors.

In addition to providing specialized, cross-sector support for startups, the experts athannoverimpuls also assist established companies in their growth. Acting as a guide and catalyst,hannoverimpuls creates synergies by connecting companies, thereby fostering win-win situations in the Hannover economic region.
