Lake Steinhude

A walk along Lake Steinhuder Meer offers a chance to experience a wonderfully varied, naturally formed landscape. Relax in the nature park with long hikes, short walks, or exciting bike rides.

Well-marked trails take you, for example, 1.5 km along the water’s edge from Steinhude toward Hagenburg. From there, you can continue another 4 km back toward Steinhude through meadows and fields. Those who prefer a longer hike can walk the full 32-kilometer loop around Lake Steinhuder Meer or use these routes as a Nordic walking trail.
