Neue Bult Horse Race

After-Work Race Day on June 12 at Neue Bult: What could be better than kicking off the weekend with some exciting horse racing alongside colleagues, friends, and acquaintances after a busy workweek?

Nerue Bult racecourse

Three more race days are scheduled for this year, promising top-class racing, thrilling moments, and an exciting supporting program. World-class athletic performances and exciting races draw a discerning crowd from northern Germany to the "Neue Bult" racetrack. Enjoy an event that blends the glamour of a high-society gala with the atmosphere of a folk festival, and the thrill of betting with the excitement of winning.

To ensure the outing is an experience for the whole family, young visitors are offered a wide-ranging and varied entertainment program on each race day—one that is free of charge and features a different lineup each time. This includes pony rides, face painting and hair styling for kids, a bounce house, a horse simulator, a mouse racetrack, a petting zoo, craft contests, goal-shooting games, and many other activities.

What races are on the After Work Race Day?

The highlight of the racing program is the Steher Cup, a Listed race with a purse of 30,000 euros over the long distance of 3,000 meters. Some of Germany’s top specialists, who are also known as “extreme stayers” due to their endurance, will compete here for the prestigious victory.
Another high-quality event is a Class II race over 1,400 meters. In addition, the program features three races for three-year-old horses. It is not uncommon for the stars of tomorrow to make their debut in these races, offering visitors exciting glimpses into the future of German horse racing.

Which horses run?

The final starting lineups will not be finalized until June 9. However, some big names have already been announced for the main race, including Narrativo, Waldadler, and Nastaria, who has already enjoyed multiple successes at the Neue Bult. They are among the best-known figures in the German stayer scene and promise a top-class race.

Which trainers and jockeys will be at the start?

Since there are no competing events in Germany on Friday, nearly all of Germany’s top jockeys are expected to participate. Thore Hammer-Hansen, Leon Wolff, Sibylle Vogt, and Eduardo Pedroza, for example, have already been assigned rides in the main race. Top trainers such as Marcel Weiß, Andreas Wöhler, Andreas Suborics, and Peter Schiergen are also planning to enter horses, as are the Neue Bult trainers Alicia Baum, Bohumil Nedorostek, and Christian Sprengel

What else is on offer?

In addition to the racing, the After Work Race Day offers the perfect setting to kick off the weekend together. After the final race, Neue Bult invites you to its popular After Race Party. A DJ provides the perfect musical accompaniment, while cool drinks and street food keep visitors well fed. The relaxed atmosphere makes race day a popular gathering spot for friends, families, companies, and anyone looking for a different way to spend their evening.
