Adophshof Farm in Hämelerwald: one of the oldest organic farms in the state.

 

The Adolphshof estate near Lehrte is one of the oldest organically farmed estates in Lower Saxony and is an important center for sustainable agriculture, education, and social interaction in the Hanover region. The estate’s origins date back to 1827; the current farm complex was built primarily in the 19th century and is a listed historic building.

The 160-hectare farm in Hämelerwald is one of the oldest organically managed farms in Lower Saxony—operating since 1952. Its products can be purchased at the farm store, as well as at many weekly markets in Hanover. The Adolphshof is an educational facility and provides housing and workshops for young adults with intellectual disabilities.

In addition, events such as farm festivals, workshops, and cultural activities are held regularly. The combination of agriculture, education, and community makes the Adolphshof estate a special place within the Hannover vacation region.
